🚛 Issue 1: “Sunrise on the Road” – Jake’s Story

A Man. A Truck. A Question That Won’t Go Away.

Jake isn’t the kind of guy who talks about faith.

• 38 years old. Long-haul trucker.

• Loves his family. Works hard. Keeps life simple.

• Faith? Never been a priority. But lately… something’s different.

Every morning, the sunrise feels heavier. Every mile, his mind drifts to questions he can’t answer. Every time life hits a snag, he wonders if Someone is actually out there watching over him.

🚛 What if grace has been riding shotgun all along?

📖 Bible Study: When God Speaks in the Quiet

Jake doesn’t need lightning bolts or burning bushes. But what if God is speaking anyway?

Maybe faith isn’t about what we see—it’s about what we notice.

1️⃣ The Whisper in the Stillness

📖 1 Kings 19:11-12 – “After the fire came a still small voice.”

👀 Reflection:

• Have you ever had a quiet moment that felt too perfect to be random?

• When was the last time you paused long enough to hear God’s whisper?

💭 Jake’s Thought: "Funny how the quietest moments speak the loudest. Maybe I’ve been listening for the wrong kind of noise."

2️⃣ Trusting the Road Ahead

📖 Proverbs 3:5-6 – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart… He will make your paths straight.”

Jake knows the road is unpredictable. He’s seen enough twists, turns, and dead ends to know that some things are beyond his control.

👀 Reflection:

• Where in your life do you feel lost?

• What would it take for you to trust God with the next mile?

💭 Jake’s Thought: "I don’t like driving blind. But maybe faith isn’t about having a perfect map—it’s about trusting the One who does."

3️⃣ Rest for the Weary

📖 Matthew 11:28-30 – “Come to me, all who are weary… and I will give you rest.”

Jake carries a heavy load. Not just freight, but pressure, responsibility, and doubt.

What if faith isn’t another burden? What if it’s where you lay everything down?

👀 Reflection:

• What’s been weighing you down lately?

• What if God is offering rest, but you just haven’t taken it yet?

💭 Jake’s Thought: "I used to think rest just meant sleep. But maybe real rest is knowing I don’t have to carry everything alone."

4️⃣ Every Sunrise is a New Beginning

📖 Lamentations 3:22-23 – “His mercies are new every morning.”

Every sunrise Jake sees from his truck reminds him—yesterday is gone, but today is a fresh start.

👀 Reflection:

• If today is a fresh start, what will you do differently?

• What do you need to release so you can move forward?

💭 Jake’s Thought: "If every day gets a sunrise, maybe that means I get a fresh start too. Maybe that’s what grace looks like."
