The Power of Change: Body, Mind, and Soul
Founder's Reflections #18 | Monday, November 18, 2024 | Jesus24365 Ministry |

🙏 Dear Beloved Jesus24365 Community,
Last evening, as I prayed for guidance, the Holy Spirit clearly led me to this topic. Out of 30 possibilities, this one stood out as the message He wanted me to share today. Little did I know that this decision would set the stage for a profound transformation in my own life.

This morning, as I opened the Word, Proverbs 20:11 struck me with clarity and conviction:
"Even small children are known by their actions, so is their conduct really pure and upright?"
This verse cut straight to my heart. It made me reflect: Are my actions consistent with my faith? Am I living as a steward of the life God has given me? Am I glorifying Him through my physical, mental, and spiritual habits? The truth was humbling—I realized I had neglected my physical health, and with it, my calling to care for the body He entrusted to me.
At that moment, the enemy whispered doubts into my mind, tempting me to focus elsewhere. But I cried out, “Jesus, tell that devil to get away from me, now!” With those words, a wave of clarity and determination filled me. I recommitted myself to honoring God with my actions, knowing that even small steps can ignite significant change.
🏛️ Scripture on Our Bodies as Temples
"Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies." (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)
This verse is a powerful reminder that caring for our physical health isn’t just about ourselves—it’s about honoring the God who created us. Our bodies are sacred, designed by Him as vessels for His work and glory. By stewarding them well, we reflect our gratitude and commitment to the One who gave His all for us.

Every small step we take—whether in exercise, nutrition, or rest—is a spiritual act of worship. We’re not just improving our physical fitness; we’re aligning our actions with God’s purpose for us. When we care for our bodies, we open ourselves to greater energy, focus, and endurance to fulfill His mission.
So, let me ask you: How are you honoring God with your body today? Have you committed to small, consistent habits that reflect His love? If not, start today—your faith and wellness are deeply intertwined.
🤔 Speaking Truth with Integrity
While reflecting on these truths, I realized that I couldn’t write about caring for our bodies without being honest about my own shortcomings. For 29 days, I neglected my physical health, rationalizing my inaction while preparing to lead this ministry. But God calls us to live with integrity—to acknowledge where we fall short and to let Him lead us back to truth.
Proverbs 20:15 illuminated this lesson: "Gold there is, and rubies in abundance, but lips that speak knowledge are a rare jewel."
God’s Word reminds us of the power of authenticity. When we acknowledge our struggles and victories alike, we connect more deeply with others. It’s through this honesty that the Holy Spirit can work in and through us.
Friends, living with integrity isn’t just about admitting mistakes—it’s about aligning our words and actions with God’s truth. Let’s commit to walking this journey together, striving for transparency and trust in every area of our lives.
🔥 Offering Our Bodies as a Living Sacrifice
"Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship." (Romans 12:1)
This verse ties together the spiritual and physical aspects of our lives beautifully. Caring for our bodies is not vanity—it’s an act of devotion, a way to worship God with every fiber of our being.
When we commit to this mindset, even small actions take on eternal significance. Your morning stretch, your walk, or your healthy meal becomes a way of saying, ‘Thank You, Lord, for this body You’ve given me.’ And as we align our physical care with our faith, we grow stronger—not just in body, but in spirit and resolve.
What small step can you take today to offer your body as a living sacrifice? Remember, each step is a reflection of His mercy and grace at work in you.
🏁 3 Suggestions to Start Moving if You’re Not Exercising
💡 Start with Daily Walks 🚶♂️: Begin with a 15–20 minute walk in your neighborhood or local park. It’s simple, effective, and clears your mind while improving your physical health. Use this time to pray or listen to uplifting music or sermons.
🎯 Set Small Goals: Start with achievable goals like 10 push-ups or 10 squats each day. Small victories build momentum and encourage consistency. Celebrate every step forward as God empowers your progress.
🏋️ Incorporate Movement Into Your Routine: Take the stairs, park farther away, or stretch during commercial breaks. Every small effort counts. Remember, these habits honor God and prepare you for His calling.
🌌 The Profound Impact of the Holy Spirit

During COVID in 2020, I knew I had to lose weight and take better care of my body. I began walking to Lake Michigan, and along the way, I encountered God in ways that forever changed me. One of those moments came through the modern adaptation of The Hound of Heaven. As I listened, the powerful words and music echoed God’s relentless love, reminding me that no matter how far we stray, He never stops pursuing us. It felt as if those words were written just for me—calling me back to trust Him fully.
Dr. Michael Brown’s series, Answers to Jewish Objections to Jesus, became another profound source of spiritual strength during that season. His passion for revealing Jesus as the Messiah and his deeply researched teachings enriched my faith and deepened my understanding of Christ’s love. Through those walks and moments of reflection, I lost 50 pounds, gained clarity, and reignited my trust in God’s promises.
✨ Here’s what’s even more powerful: This transformation isn’t unique to me. It can happen for you too. When you step out in faith—whether on a quiet walk, during exercise, or in prayer—invite the Holy Spirit to join you. He will meet you there, strengthen your resolve, and remind you of His unwavering love.
