When grief breaks you, grace stays—bearing burdens with presence, not platitudes.
✨ Glimpses of Grace #28 | Lily #5 – God’s Paintbrush

📅 Jesus24365 Weekly #57 | Monday, April 21, 2025
💌 A Note of Gratitude
Dear Jesus24365 Family,
Thank you for continuing this journey with us. Whether your faith feels strong or shaky today, grace is still showing up—sometimes loud, sometimes light as air.
This week, Lily reminds us that not all holy moments happen in pews or prayer rooms. Some happen lying in the grass, looking up.
If this blesses you, share it. Someone may need a reason to look up again.
For the Kingdom, ❤️

📖 Dear Jesus24365 Family,
Lily is only seven, but she’s lived through more than most people twice her age.
Born with a rare heart condition, her life has been filled with hospital visits, surgeries, and weeks where playgrounds had to wait. Her parents worried she’d grow up afraid—but Lily just grew more full of faith.
She calls Jesus her “forever friend.”
Even when her chest hurts, or she’s too tired to run with the other kids, she finds joy in what others miss. Especially in the sky.
Lily loves the sky—sunsets, stars, and especially clouds. To her, they aren’t random. They’re reminders. Of God. Of promises. Of presence.
“Jesus paints pictures just for me,” she says. “I think He’s saying, ‘I see you, Lily.’”
And maybe He is.
At Easter, she lights up with more joy than most adults ever will—not because of candy or colors, but because she knows deep down:
“Jesus didn’t just die. He came back. That means He’ll always be with me.”
That’s why this week’s comic is so much more than cute. It’s truth—straight from a little girl who gets it.
🎨 Wonder in the Sky: God’s Paintbrush
In this week’s comic—“God’s Paintbrush”—Lily is sprawled in the grass beside her teddy bear, eyes turned heavenward. Clouds swirl above her like art, and with a grin, she points and whispers:
“Clouds are pictures God paints for us!”
It’s not complicated. And maybe that’s the point.
📖 Bible Study #1: Psalm 19:1
“The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands.”
💬 Lily’s Reflection: "God’s an artist. Clouds are His doodles."
👀 Consider This:
• When’s the last time you looked at the sky and just… smiled?
• What would it look like to let wonder lead your worship?
📖 Bible Study #2: Matthew 18:3
“Unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.”
💬 Lily’s Reflection: "Maybe faith isn’t about knowing more—it’s about noticing more."
👀 Consider This:
• Where has life gotten too complicated lately?
• Could childlike awe refresh your tired faith?
📖 Bible Study #3: Genesis 9:13
“I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant…”
💬 Lily’s Reflection: "God uses the sky to say ‘I love you.’ That’s pretty cool."
👀 Consider This:
• What signs has God given you lately that you may have missed?
• Could clouds be reminders instead of distractions?
🔥 This Week’s Challenge – Look Up
Let Lily’s wide-eyed faith lead your steps this week:
Spend 5 minutes cloud-watching—no phone, no agenda.
Journal what you see, feel, or hear from God.
Snap a photo of the sky and share how it moved you.
Read Psalm 19:1 out loud as a prayer of thanks.

📢 P.S. Your story matters.
Grace today might not look like a miracle or a breakthrough.
It might look like a breeze on your face, a cloud shaped like a heart, or a moment where you realize—you’re not alone.
That’s how Lily sees it. Maybe we can too.
💬 Reflect with Us:
🌤 When’s the last time you truly slowed down?
👧 What would happen if you trusted like a child again?
🙏 Need prayer to see beauty again?

Lily reminds me that sometimes the most powerful theology is wonder.
She doesn’t ask, “Why me?” She asks, “Did you see that cloud?”
🌤 When’s the last time you saw something simple… and it stirred something sacred?
