☀️ The Morning Lily Thanked Jesus for Pancakes

One Saturday morning, Lily bounced into the kitchen, the smell of pancakes filling the air. She grinned as her mom flipped a golden pancake onto her plate, then carefully arranged blueberries and syrup into a smiley face.

Lily clasped her hands and bowed her head. "Thanks for pancakes, Jesus! You must love smiles as much as I do!"

Her dad chuckled. "That’s a great way to start the day, Lily! Did you know Jesus had breakfast with His disciples too?"

Lily’s eyes widened. "Really? What did He eat?"

“Fish and bread! After He rose from the dead, He made breakfast for His friends by the sea.” Her dad opened the Bible to John 21:12 and read, "Jesus said to them, ‘Come and have breakfast.’”

Lily leaned in, fascinated. "So Jesus liked breakfast, too! That means He really understands us, doesn’t He?"

Her dad nodded. "Absolutely. And just like He invited His disciples to eat with Him, He invites us to be with Him every day."

Lily’s face lit up as she took a big bite of her pancake. "Well, I hope He likes syrup!"

That morning, Lily understood something special—Jesus is with us at every meal, in every moment. When we share food, love, and joy, we are sitting at His table.

💭 Lily’s Thought: "Jesus is the best kind of daily bread!"

🔥 The Morning Lily Shared Her Pancakes

Later that day, Lily and her friend Hannah were playing when Hannah’s stomach growled loudly.

🗨️ "Did you forget breakfast?" Lily asked.

Hannah looked away. "My mom was busy, and I didn’t want to bother her."

Lily’s heart ached for her friend. She glanced at the last pancake on the plate and thought about what Jesus would do.

Without hesitation, she broke the pancake in half and handed one piece to Hannah.

"Here! Jesus always makes sure we have enough to share."

Hannah hesitated, then took the pancake and smiled. "Thanks, Lily. I think Jesus does love pancakes after all!"

Lily beamed. "Of course, He does! And He loves sharing, too."
