🌟 Zoe’s Journey: "The Bold Believer"

✉️ A New Morning, A New Mercy—Finding Grace in Every Sunrise

Zoe, a young Black American woman with a peaceful expression, stands on a city balcony at dawn, her hands wrapped around a steaming cup of coffee. Her signature blue headband holds back her curls as she gazes toward the horizon. A small red bird perches beside her, as if joining in her quiet moment of reflection. The golden sunrise bathes the cityscape in warm light, illuminating the words in the speech bubble: "New mercies every morning, even when the city’s still waking up." Her posture is relaxed, her face serene—this is more than just morning coffee. It’s a spiritual awakening. A reminder that grace meets us at the start of every new day. ✨ Follow Zoe’s journey in Glimpses of Grace at Jesus24365.org.

🔥 The Quiet Miracle of Mornings

Zoe had always been a night owl. Late nights, city lights, deep talks under the stars—those were her moments. But something shifted.

One morning, exhausted from a tough week, she stepped onto her balcony just before dawn, clutching a steaming mug of coffee.

She hadn’t planned to pray. But as she exhaled, watching her breath curl into the crisp air, a soft light crept over the horizon. The skyline shifted. The sky blushed in hues of pink and gold.

And then—right there, as the city was still waking up—a tiny bird landed on her railing. Its song was gentle, but it echoed in her soul.

"New mercies every morning, even when the city’s still waking up."

She smiled, realizing it wasn’t just the city waking up—it was her heart.

Speech Bubble Integration: The words from the comic—"New mercies every morning, even when the city’s still waking up."—are the heartbeat of this study, woven through every lesson.

ZOE #2 - WAKING UP TO GRACE | GLIMPSES OF GRACE #14 | JESUS24365 MINISTRY

📖 Bible Study #1: The Fresh Start of God’s Mercies

📖 Lamentations 3:22-23 – "Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness."

Zoe had spent years battling regret—decisions she wished she could redo, mistakes she couldn’t erase. But in that sunrise moment, she felt it: God’s grace isn’t just for yesterday’s failures. It’s for today’s fresh start.

💭 Zoe’s Thought: "If God gives me new mercies every morning, why do I keep carrying yesterday’s weight?"

👀 Reflection:

☀️ What if you let go of yesterday’s failures and walked in today’s fresh mercies?

☀️ What would change if you saw each morning as a clean slate from God?

🔥 Challenge: Wake up tomorrow and start your day in gratitude. Before checking your phone or jumping into work, whisper a simple prayer: "Lord, thank You for new mercies today."

🔥 A Lesson from the Rooftop

A few years ago, Zoe found herself on a Brooklyn rooftop with her best friend, staring at the endless city lights.

“I feel stuck,” she admitted.

Her friend leaned back, staring at the sky. “You know the city looks different in the morning?”

Zoe chuckled. “I wouldn’t know—I don’t do mornings.”

But that thought stuck with her. And when she finally saw the sunrise over the city, she realized: Sometimes, the only way to see God’s work is to shift your perspective.

📖 Bible Study #2: Learning to See God’s Work in the Morning

📖 Psalm 143:8 – "Let the morning bring me word of Your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in You."

Zoe had always been looking for big miracles, but she realized God’s love often shows up in the small things—a sunrise, a song, a gentle nudge in her heart.

💭 Zoe’s Thought: "What if I’ve been missing God’s voice because I’ve been looking in the wrong places?"

👀 Reflection:

🌅 How can you start your day tuning into God’s voice before the noise of the world takes over?

🌅 Where has God been showing up in your life that you haven’t noticed?

🔥 Challenge: Take five minutes tomorrow morning to sit in silence. Ask God to show you His love today. See what happens.

🔥 Worship on the Balcony

Zoe wasn’t one to sing in church. But that morning on her balcony, she hummed softly—just for her, just for God.

And as she did, peace settled over her like a warm embrace.

She had been waking up every day for work, for responsibilities, for people’s expectations—but now, she was waking up to grace.

📖 Bible Study #3: Waking Up to Worship

📖 Psalm 59:16 – "But I will sing of Your strength, in the morning I will sing of Your love; for You are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble."

Zoe realized that morning worship isn’t about singing—it’s about starting the day in God’s presence.

💭 Zoe’s Thought: "Maybe worship isn’t just for Sundays. Maybe it’s for coffee cups, sunrise moments, and whispered prayers."

👀 Reflection:

🎶 What if worship became your first response each morning?

🎶 How can you start your day with praise instead of pressure?

🔥 Challenge: Find a morning worship song (even if it’s just one you hum quietly) and make it your new sunrise soundtrack.

Martin Luther also knew the beauty of starting our day with thankfulness to God for His grace in Luther's Morning Prayer. One hynn worth considering is "Oh that the Lord would guide my ways, to keep His statutes still, Oh that by God would grant me grace to know and do His will "
