đ Rachelâs Journey: "The Busy Professional"
âď¸ The Meeting Before the MeetingâPraying for Wisdom in Leadership

đ The Prayer That Changed Everything
Rachel had a major client presentation that morning. It was high-stakes, high-pressure, and high-anxiety. She had prepped for weeksâevery slide perfect, every word polished.
But as she sat in the parking garage, gripping the steering wheel, she felt something missing.
What if success today wasnât just about her ambitionâbut about Godâs wisdom?
Taking a deep breath, she closed her eyes and whispered a prayer.
âLord, help me lead with wisdom, not just ambition.â
And in that quiet momentâbefore the boardroom, before the applause or criticism, before she spoke a single wordâshe felt it. Peace.
She had already won because she had surrendered the outcome to God.
đ Rachelâs Thought: "The most important meeting happens before I ever walk through the doorâthe one I have with God."
đ Bible Study: Leadership Rooted in Faith
Rachelâs story reminds us that true leadership isnât about controlâitâs about surrendering to Godâs wisdom.
1ď¸âŁ Leading with Wisdom, Not Just Strategy
đ James 1:5Â â "If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you."
Rachel had strategy, preparation, and talentâbut she needed wisdom from God to navigate the unexpected challenges ahead.
đ Reflection:Â What decisions are you making right now that need Godâs wisdom more than your own logic?
đ Rachelâs Thought: "I can plan every detail, but only God knows the future."
2ď¸âŁ Trusting God with Outcomes
đ Proverbs 16:3Â â "Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans."
Rachel used to believe her hard work determined her success. Now, sheâs learning real success is trusting God with the results.
đ Reflection: Are you measuring success by control or by trusting in Godâs direction?
đ Rachelâs Thought: "If God is leading, I donât have to chase successâI just have to walk in obedience."
đĽ The Day Rachel Got It Wrong
A month ago, Rachel walked into a major negotiation fully confident in her preparation. She had rehearsed, anticipated every argument, and was sure she would close the deal.
But midway through, everything unraveled.
She fumbled an answer. The client raised unexpected concerns. The meeting ended without a contract.

Rachel left feeling defeatedâuntil she realized what was missing.
She had walked into that room alone.
That morning, she had rushed through emails instead of praying over the meeting. She had leaned on her own strength rather than Godâs wisdom.
She learned that success isnât about getting it perfectâitâs about inviting God into the process.
đ Rachelâs Thought: "I donât want to start another meeting without first meeting with God."
3ď¸âŁ God-First Leadership
đ Matthew 6:33Â â "But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."
Rachel used to chase success before seeking God. Now, sheâs learning that when she puts God first, He takes care of everything else.
đ Reflection:Â What would happen if you sought God before making every big decision?
đ Rachelâs Thought: "Every meeting is different when I start with prayer."
