Founder's Reflections #26 - Grace vs Law

Jesus24365 Weekly #21

Friday, January 17, 2025 | Jesus24365 Ministry

Dear Beloved Jesus24365 Ministry Family,

What a joy it is to gather together again, united by God’s unending grace and boundless love! As we embark on today’s reflection, let us take a moment to express gratitude for His mercies, which are new every morning. Our journey together is a testament to His faithfulness, and I am humbled by the opportunity to share these moments of growth and inspiration with you.

This week, we dive into a pivotal topic: Living Under Grace vs. Living Under the Law. Through this reflection, we will uncover how grace transforms every aspect of our lives, freeing us from the weight of the law and empowering us to walk in righteousness. Together, we’ll explore how understanding the purpose of grace leads to spiritual freedom, a deepened relationship with Christ, and a greater impact for His Kingdom.

Our discussion today invites us to see life through the lens of God’s ultimate purpose. We’ll reflect on how His grace equips us to grow in faith, extend love to others, and live boldly as ambassadors of His truth. Let us embrace this opportunity to strengthen our walk with Him and be inspired to share His light with the world.

The purpose of our journey is ever so clear: to walk in God’s grace, live for His glory, and share His truth with the world. Today, we reflect on a pivotal topic:

Living Under Grace vs. Living Under the Law.

For Grace

Freedom in His love,

Not by works, but by His grace,

His truth sets us free.

Grace: Understanding the Purpose of the Game

Grace is the unmerited favor of God—a divine gift that defines our relationship with Him. It is the foundation of Christianity, enabling us to navigate a world marred by imperfection, sin, and strife. Freely given through Jesus Christ, grace allows us to recover, learn, and grow from life’s victories and failures with confidence in His plan.

Watch This Short:

Dr. Frank Turek’s (@DrFrankTurek on X) analogy of life as a game brings clarity to grace’s role. Just as a football game involves diverse plays—both touchdowns and interceptions—life’s moments must be understood within the context of God’s greater purpose.

Watch This Short:

In Jesus24365 Ministry, every "play" we make is an opportunity to reflect God’s grace and purpose. Freed from the weight of the law, we are called to live in the joy and liberty of His grace, assured that the ultimate victory is already secured in Christ.

Responding to Politics in Grace and Truth

In a polarized world, political debates often distract from deeper truths. The Bible reminds us: “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). This universal truth shifts our focus from blame to redemption. Yes, character matters, as do the policies we support, but as Christians, our calling is to reflect the Gospel through grace and love. By acknowledging humanity’s brokenness and pointing to Christ’s saving grace, we can illuminate God’s better way and guide hearts toward Jesus.

When these conversations arise, let us:

  1. Acknowledge the Brokenness: Recognize humanity’s shared need for redemption.

  2. Point to Redemption: Highlight Christ’s saving grace as the solution.

  3. Speak Truth with Love: Address moral issues firmly yet compassionately, always keeping the Gospel at the center.

What is Grace’s Role in This Game?

Grace transforms lives and calls us to live with purpose and courage. The mission of Jesus24365 Ministry is not to win earthly debates but to fulfill God’s eternal purpose. By demonstrating grace in our actions and words, we point others to Jesus, the source of all truth and life.

Consider how grace impacts every aspect of this ministry:

  • In Outreach: Grace enables us to meet seekers and skeptics where they are, offering practical acts of love like hosting community meals or sharing Gospel-centered resources to meet their spiritual and physical needs.

  • In Leadership: Grace empowers us to lead with humility by prioritizing servant leadership, making time to mentor others, and modeling Christ’s example of selfless service.

  • In Daily Life: Grace transforms how we view our everyday actions, from showing forgiveness to those who wrong us to finding joy in serving our families, friends, and neighbors, reflecting Christ’s love in tangible ways.
