Founder's Reflections #24: Grace in Serving His Kingdom
Jesus24365 Weekly #15
Jesus24365 Ministry | Friday, January 3, 2025

Dear Beloved Jesus24365 Ministry Family,
As we step into this New Year together, I want to express my gratitude for you. Your faith, prayers, and engagement are a beautiful reflection of God’s grace at work in our lives. Whether you are a devoted believer or a thoughtful seeker, you are part of a community united by love, faith, and a shared mission: to reflect Christ in all we do.
Today, we’ll explore how God’s grace doesn’t just transform our hearts—it empowers us to serve others with love and humility. Grace isn’t just something we receive; it’s something we live and share. It renews us, shapes our actions, and allows us to serve others with compassion and joy. My prayer is that by the end of this reflection, you’ll feel inspired to live out grace in ways that bring light and hope to those around you.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” (2 Corinthians 5:17, NIV). Through grace, we are made new, and in that newness, we are called to serve—not out of obligation, but out of gratitude and love.
Hands of Grace
Hands that break the bread,
Grace that flows to weary souls,
Hope in every meal.
The Transformative Power of Grace in Service
Recently, I began serving dinner at the Milwaukee Rescue Mission. Each evening, I look into the eyes of men, women, and children who have lost their homes, and I’m reminded of this truth: but for the grace of God, I could be in their shoes. This realization humbles me and transforms each meal I serve into an act of gratitude.
Philip Yancey, in What’s So Amazing About Grace?, writes: "Grace means there is nothing we can do to make God love us more… And grace means there is nothing we can do to make God love us less."
This truth liberates us. None of us earn God’s love—it is a gift. When we serve, it’s not about proving ourselves but reflecting the grace we’ve received. Yancey also reminds us: "Grace does not depend on what we have done for God but rather on what God has done for us."
At the Rescue Mission, each meal becomes more than food—it becomes a message of love: “You are valued. You are loved. God’s grace is for you too.”
When Paul says, “The old has gone, the new is here,” he’s inviting us into a new life of purpose—one where grace flows through us to touch others. Serving with grace is about allowing God’s renewal to overflow into the lives of those around us.
Reflect and Act: How Will You Serve with Grace?
Take a moment to reflect: How is God calling you to serve in 2025? Serving with grace doesn’t require grand gestures—it can be as simple as offering a kind word, mentoring someone, or volunteering your time. Every act of service, no matter how small, is an opportunity to share God’s love.

This week, I challenge you to take one actionable step in serving with grace. Write it down, pray over it, and trust that God will use your act of service to make an eternal impact. Have you experienced the transformative power of grace in service? Share your story in the comments—it could inspire someone else to take their first step into grace-filled living.
Grace in Action: Inspired by KOINE
Music has a unique ability to convey truths that resonate deeply within our hearts. KOINE, a band born out of my home church of St. Marcus Lutheran, has a song titled “By Grace I’m Saved.” This hymn beautifully illustrates the unearned and boundless love of God. It serves as a reminder that grace isn’t just a concept; it’s a transformative reality that empowers us to serve others with joy and humility.
As you listen to this timeless hymn, reflect on how God’s grace has touched your life and how you can let it flow through you to serve others. Approach each act of service as a joyful response to the gift of grace.
Let its words and melody inspire you this week to live out grace in all that you do.

What’s Coming Next
Here’s what’s ahead as we continue this journey together:
Art of Grace #6 (Sunday): Reflect on the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19—“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” We’ll explore how grace equips us to boldly live out our faith.
Spiritual Nourishment #6 (Wednesday): As we conclude our six-week series on Finding Strength in Psalms, this reflection will connect Matthew 28:19 to four Psalms that inspire us to live out the Great Commission with strength, courage, and joy.
Grace transforms everything.
It renews us, empowers us, and shapes the way we serve. As you reflect on this message, consider how grace is calling you to act in your life and community. Together, we can reflect Christ’s light and bring His hope to a world in need.
Your thoughts matter to me. I’d love to hear how this reflection resonates with you. A River of Grace
Grace flows like the sea,
Boundless, deep, and full of life,
A gift to be shared.

Apostle Paul wasinspired to write in Ephesians, "In Him we have redemption, through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God's GRACE that He LAVISHED on us."
I cannot help but to burst with energy to serve where doors open to meet needs of service in my church. Or possibly a smile of encouragement and friendship in my community. We have SO MUCH for which to show our gratitude and thankfulness.
💬 Love to hear from you! How has God’s grace inspired you to serve others? Whether it’s a personal story, a favorite Scripture, or even just an "Amen," your comment can encourage someone else today. Let’s build a community of grace and inspiration together! 🙏❤️ #Jesus24365 #GraceInAction
